What to wear to a networking event

I recently attended a Hubdot networking event in London before which I thought “hmmm this will make a great blog post – what to wear to a networking event.” Hubdot is a brand new way of networking for women – instead of the usual “this is my name, this is my business, this is what I do” Hubdot encourages women to connect by storytelling and communicating via categories: I’m established, I have an idea, I’m here to be inspired, I’m here to socialise, I want to tell you about …   I see clothes as a powerful story telling tool – the power to speak without saying a word lies in your clothes. When I told people what I did, “I’m a stylist”, the reaction was a cursory glance down at my outfit and the reply “I can tell.”   If you are looking to make a different impression with your clothes at an event this year and want a bit of help then please get in touch.
